Snap a photo during each date night so that you can reminisce over your time together later on! After this, put both your phones away to give your full attention to one another.
It’s often best to plan dates in advance to not feel sprung on someone who had other plans. If your ‘dating’ from home, being open that this is a ‘date’ lets them know you desire to enjoy this special time together with minimal distractions.
Do not place expectations on how the night should go or on your spouse/date. Doing so can lead to disappointment when things don’t go “as planned.” Instead, just relax, enjoy each other, and whatever the night may bring.
Do you struggle to make conversation? Give conversation starter cards designed for couples a try, such as those from ‘Love Lingual.’ You can even take a few cards with you on your date night, just in case!
Leading up to the date, let your spouse/date know that you are looking forward to this time with them, whether it’s a text during the day, a note, a hug, or other physical touches. Doing so lets them know that you treasure their company and builds intimacy before your date.
